These was taken Christmas Eve, and as the snow had not vanished by Christmas Day we had what you might call a White Christmas!
So Merry Christmas everyone!

So Merry Christmas everyone!
As I have said in my previous post, I am not overly fond of taking pictures of flowers. However because I was bored I was going through some of my pictures in photoshop, and I came across a picture of a wild orchid I had taken a few weeks ago. I thought I would mess about with it to see what I could do with it…
I never thought flowers could look good in black and white, but I really like this.
…So once I’d got my black and white flower, I started to think, ‘I wonder what it would look like in that colour/black and white style?’ (If anyone happens to know what that style is really called, do let me know.)
Anyway this is what I ended up with…
It is not perfect, but then it is only my second attempt at this style.
Not only have I been having fun with infa-red, but also with black and white. A controversial subject amongst some photographers I know. But in some cases, I personally believe that black and white can improve a picture.
Although it is only 1 photograph, I hope to add to my collection quite quickly!
